		<description>I agree with the first answerer -- you can read all the books you want, but a good breeder should be your first resource. They will be able to tell you about the tests that you need to give parent chihuahuas -- a good-looking, well-behaved chihuahua is not necessarily a good candidate for breeding. He/she will need to meet the AKC&#039;s health and physical standards. You&#039;ll also need to have a goal of what you want the puppies for -- do you want to enter dog shows (most reputable breeders only breed when they&#039;re after a specific type of look to further their line, or to enter a show)?
