What do you ladies think about this?

My sis is traing to be a nurse and she lent me one of her course works books to read i found this paragraph and thought it to be intresting:

THE HEALTH BEBFITS OF CUM VIA SPERMOPHAGIA (indegestion of sperm)

Cancer prevention: Studies suggest that seminal plasma both prevents and fights cancer, particularly breast cancer,[1] reducing risk by “not less than 50 percent.”[2][3] This effect is attributed to its glycoprotein and selenium content, with apoptosis being induced by TGF-Beta. A related urban legend parodied these findings and claimed that performing fellatio at least three times a week reduced the risk of breast cancer.[4]

Preeclampsia prevention: It has been hypothesized that substances in semen condition a mother’s immune system to accept the “foreign” proteins found in sperm as well as the resulting fetus and placenta, keeping blood pressure low and thereby reducing the risk of preeclampsia. Regular exposure to the baby’s father’s semen, especially orally, may help make a woman’s pregnancy safer and more successful, because she is absorbing her partner’s antigens.[5]

Medical knowledge about the beneficial health effects of ingesting semen has been slow to increase. As late as 1976, doctors were advising women in the eighth and ninth months of pregnancy not to swallow semen lest it induce premature labor,[6] even though it is now known to be not only safe, but beneficial.

Because of its hormone and mineral content, semen ingestion has several other areas of potential health benefits which have not yet been fully researched. These areas include its antidepressant properties (epinephrine, dopamine) and musculoskeletal support (testosterone

What do you think ladies??

I for 1 dont care about the benefits i am not swallowing!!

Christmas gift for aunt with leukemia…?

This year we’re buying for my husband’s aunt who was diagnosed with leukemia about a year ago. She is now going through her second bone marrow transplant as the first one did not stick. I’m looking for something nice to buy her. She will be indoors a lot due to her illness and low immune system once she returns from the hospital next month. I was considering a really comfy blanket and some great books to keep her company when she’s home alone…or maybe even some movies. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
Hunter DAWG – Why do you bother answering serious questions? You think I don’t realize that she could die? You truly have absolutely no compassion.
Does anyone have any recently released book ideas that have a strong female protagonist? I don’t want to give her anything that pertains to death because to me that’s just wrong. Strength in anything I think would be good.
Spring_rainbows – These actually are all gifts I would have considered getting her even before the disease hit. She was always a crazy busy person, so something calming and relaxing would have always been my first choice. But since we’re supposed to be “secret santa” for the family gifts, I can’t just ask her for some favorite authors or movies, so I’m really just trying to decide what books or movies would be best.

Paying online jobs for somebody under 18?

I am 17 years old (6 months shy of 18!), and I need money.

My family is filing for bankruptcy and I’m going to need to make some money to pay for college books and other (social and recreational) expenses. However, I get sick a lot and have a weak immune system, there are no jobs available in town, and I have no source of transportation. Working for a company online would be ideal for me. I could do it whenever I want, wouldn’t have to worry about being too sick, and countless other reasons. However, I can’t seem to find anything that suits me. I’ve looked at survey sites, but they all seem to be hours of work for 50 cents. I want decent pay for decent work. I don’t expect to “get rich quick” or anything like that, I just want a job that will pay at least 10 dollars for an hour’s work (as my friends who work at fast food joints get paid at least that much).

So basically: Decent (or well) paying job online available to a 17 year old that isn’t too much work for not enough pay. Is there anything out there for me or am I just dreaming?
I would also like to acknowledge the fact that I’m not looking for snotty remarks and worthless answers. I am aware that there are scams and pyramid schemes and stupid crap like that, I was asking whether or not there are jobs available online. I know for a fact that people work online (my dad’s friend Doug works online for an advertising company, he does graphs and calculations and that is a part time job for him), I was just wondering if any job like this existed for someone under 18 years of age. I’m not sure if “freelance” would be the right term, but I’m looking for something similar. Please refrain from comments that imply that I’m naive or stupid, because I am not and it just makes you come off as a judgmental and inconsiderate member of this community. Thank you.
I worked at a magazine for 7 months on a paid internship. I imput data, called advertisers, did research related to the magazine, formatted certain articles and edited many. I am a published writer as I have both a published poem and published articles. Those are (some of – I can’t list them all)my qualifications/experience. I don’t mind imputting data or doing mundane things like that, I just need a job because my family is desperate.

Is this a good character?

1. What is your full name? Allison Jenelle Streyer.
2. Where and when were you born? I was born in Silverpeak Nevada. There’s only 379 people there. I was born November 12, seventeen years ago. You do the math.
3. Who are/were your parents? My parents are not dead, not divorced, nor with any plans to do so. They’re not druggies or drunks. They love each other. My dad is Jeremy Streyer, and he’s a milkman. How cool is that?!! My mom is Jennifer. Don’t ask why they didn’t give me a ‘J’ name. I don’t get it either. She used to make costumes for movies, so it’s really cool. She makes the BEST Halloween costumes for me and my friends. She also very much an environmentalist, and she supports every random cause that she can.
4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? I’m an only child. Sometimes I wish I had a twin brother. How cool would that be? We could wreck havoc on the world? But nooooo, I didn’t get one.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? I live in Reno. My parents moved not long after I was born. And yes, I’m seventeen, so I still live with my parents. I’m not moving out until I go to college. And I still don’t know where I want to go.
6. What is your occupation? I work at the little bookstore downtown. They sell mythology books, and old books. I love it, because on my break, I can get a book, and curl up in the back, and just read.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. I’m five foot two. Yeah…I’m seventeen. And short. I hate it. My friends call me midget. I don’t know how much I weigh…my mom saw some documentary on teenage anorexia, and threw the scale out. My hair… I like my hair. It’s curly. Not Shirley Temple kinda curly, but curly, and I like it. It’s dark brown. I’m not allowed to dye my hair. I told you my mom was an environmentalist. My eyes, blue. Nothing special. Hmmm…I just wear jeans and t shirts. I don’t care about labels. I just grab things from my closet. I don’t have any tattoos. Again, it’s my mom. Scars…I have a little bump on my left hand from when I crawled into some broken glass when I was a baby.
8. To which social class do you belong? Middle? I mean…I live in a two story house, but it’s not a mansion.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Erm…I’m not allergic to anything. I’m anemic. That means I don’t have enough iron in my blood, so I’m pale. Oh! I also have a really bad immune system, so I get sick a lot.
10. Are you right- or left-handed? I’m right handed.
11. What does your voice sound like? What kind of question is this? Do you think I record my voice or something?
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? I say….bomb diggity all the time, and it drives my friends nuts!!! I’m also constantly threatening people with my angry mob of hungry cannibalistic clowns that live in Peru.
13. What do you have in your pockets? I’m in my pajamas. I don’t have anything in my pockets at this moment.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? Not that I know of. I squeak when I’m surprised. If you grab me from behind, it results in a squeaky sound. This has led to the nick name squeaky.
15. How would you describe your childhood in general? Good? I guess? I got most things I wanted. It’s not like we’re poor, but we’re not rich either.
16. What is your earliest memory? When I got sick when I was really little. I had to get a shot, and I flipped out. I hate needles.
17. How much schooling have you had? I’m a junior in high school. I’m almost done with high school!!! Wooo!!!!
18. Did you enjoy school? Eh…I can take it or leave it. It’s not the bane of my existence, but you know…it’s school.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? My parental units. Or friends. Eh…and school.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. Hmm… I guess not really. Both my parents are great, but not really role models. I just want to be me.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? We got along fine. It wasn’t like we all wanted each other dead or anything.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be me! Nah, just kidding. I wouldn’t mind owning my own bookstore. Maybe have a little café in the back.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? Reading. I always loved reading.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? Loud. I’m pretty talkative for someone who spends most of her time with her nose stuck in a book.
25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? My friends are my books. I love them. The people in the books seem so real to me. I got on really well with lady who worked at the library.
26.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss? I’m not talking about that.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? I’m a virgin. See, there are downsides to being a little book worm. 28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. I’m just a human….so there’s nothing magical there. Darn. I would like to be a faerie. My parents influence the things I do. Mostly because they still tell me what I can and can’t do.
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Being born. Ya know, that was kind of an important day.
30. Who has had the most influence on you? Probably my boss. She’s an 67 year old woman, who still comes into work everyday, just so that she can see the look on someone’s face when they buy a new
new book.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? I haven’t really done much, so I don’t know.
32. What is your greatest regret? See, I like this question, because I get to go all, philosophical. I don’t believe in regret. I don’t believe in regretting the people in your past, because they make you who you are today, even though there’s a reason they didn’t make it to your future. I don’t believe in regretting something that once made you smile, or something that you did once, because at that time, it was exactly what you wanted.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? I don’t do evil things…I have no one to do evil things to…
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? I stole a pack of gum when I was five… does that count?
35. When was the time you were the most frightened? Anytime there is a thunderstorm! I hate them, I hate them, I hate them! I can’t sleep, and I normally have to call one of my friends to have them talk to me on the phone until
I fall asleep. My parents tried to do it, but it doesn’t really work for them.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? Yeah…erm…normal people trip going down stairs…I trip going up them.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? Erm…I don’t know. Doesn’t this go with the whole regret thing?
38. What is your best memory? When I finally got my hands on the last Harry Potter book.
39. What is your worst memory? When I finished the last Harry Potter book, and realizing how many people died.
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? Optimistic. There would be no fun in life if there was no optimism.

44. What are your views on sex? Hmm…I’ve heard it’s nice…
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? I’m never going to kill someone, so why would that question even be relevant?!??!
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Kill someone! Didn’t we just go over this!?
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? I believe in loving the person that is best matched for you.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life? Family and happiness.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? If I feel strongly about something, trust me, you’ll know.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? No. I like people for who they are. It’s not that hard…
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? I refuse to answer another one of these questions, but I’m probably going to anyway. I refuse to get a tattoo or anything else that involves needles.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? My parents. People that I desperately care about.
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I’m nice to people, whether I know them or not. If it’s with my parents, I can be over sarcastic, but hey, I’m seventeen.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? My parents. They raised me, duh. They made me who I am!!!
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Didn’t I already answer this? I said my boss.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. My friends. I thought I already answered this. My friends are my books. And then of course, I do have a few human friends. 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. Erm… I’m single. And I’m going to stay that way for a while.
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. Yeah. It’s this guy, and his name is Harry Potter59. What do you look for in a potential lover? Well, first, he has to be real, which sucks, because all the GOOD guys are fictional. 60. How close are you to your family? We’re close. We eat dinner together most nights, even if it’s pizza in the living room.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? I don’t really want a family of my own. I don’t know why. I kinda like being left alone.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? My dad. He might be busy with his milkman job, but you know, he listens well. And he actually gives good advice. But when I have boy problems, he redirects me to my mother.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? My parents, because….well, isn’t that their job?
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? My mommy!!! And my daddy!!! And hopefully Christina….
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? I don’t dislike anyone! I like most people, and other people I don’t know well enough to like them, but that also means I don’t know them well enough to dislike them.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? Erm… I choose my battles. If it’s something that I’m really passionate about, then yeah, you bet I’m going to argue about it, but if it’s just something really little, then it’s just easier to walk away.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? Nah, I sit back and let someone else take charge. Then I just worry about doing what they need me to do.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? I don’t… I like curling up in my room with a new book. Which is hard to find. I’ve read a lot.

98. What three words best describe your personality? Bookworm, shy, and quiet
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? Shy, quiet, and weird
Okay, now that I’m done with the character description, the plot line of the story I want to use her for. She has a stalker, but he’s killing people, trying to get her to fall in love with him. He’s threatening all the people close to her, until he kidnaps her. He forces her to become his wife, and then has an idea that if he kills them both, they can be together forever in death. So he kills her, but then when he goes to kill himself, he can’t bring himself to do it. So her ghost comes back, and kills him.

Helicobacter Pylori in my stomach?

Well I went to the doctor saying I have occasional pain around my heart area and he did some thing to check my heart and there was no problem. Then he said it could be a gastrointestinal problem so he did a H. Pylori test and it was positive. So now I read up some stuff on it with my already initial knowledge read from other books. I had no idea that 1/2 the world’s population is infected with this bacterium (according to Wikipedia). One more thing is that does it HAVE to be treated ? I mean I don’t have any real bad symptoms or anything and I don’t hear about it as being THAT much of a threat (well there is the stomach cancer and hole in your stomach part) like people dieing everywhere. Maybe I just don’t hear about it that much. It’s just the fact I dislike taking a butt load of antibiotics to stop it. I hear that messes up your immune system. Can anyone clarify this in detail (the antibiotics messing up the immune system part) ?

Evolutionists: Could this be Design?

Alrighty, thank you for your interest in this question; I will try to be as concise as I can.

My question is: If evolution theory is true, how can it account for this much complexity?

Our bodies immune system is comprised of several types of white bloods cells, each with their very own unique function in our bodies. (a deficiency of any one of these cells produces catastrophic results; the infamous AIDS virus infects the helper and inflammatory T cells, and we all know what the results are.)

Several books can be written just on this subject alone! Just the job that our white blood cells perform in each of our bodies on a daily basis is fascinating! Not to mention the other various microorganisms that also help maintain the homeostasis of our bodies.

Macrophages, aside from cleaning up cellular debris in our bodies and engulfing various types of pathogens, (when fully activated by the inflammatory T cells) can unleash a very impressive array of cellular weaponry including acids, hydrogen peroxide, poisonous free radicals, nitric oxide, antibiotics, enzymes, and other poisons, in order to eliminate any threat to the body! Hmm sounds like design to me…

White blood cells also have several means of communicating with one; over short distances they are able to “dock” with each other and transmit information via surface mounted sensors; over long distances, white blood cells produce chemical messengers called interleukins (body cells also produce chemical messengers called interferons).

Not to be more tedious than is necessary to epitomize the complexity of the immune system alone, but much more can be said about the design and structure of the lymph vessels themselves, and various glands (thymus included; interestingly enough this was once thought to be a vestigial organ; it seems that science just dubs structures that they don’t understand as “unnecessary”) that compose this very incredible part of each of us.

You tell me, how did that evolve?
Oh no, none of this was a copy paste. Hand-written with love :)

(No I am not a scientist; and no I didn’t discover the the complexity that is found here; I’m just a student)
Allow me to quote Albert Einstein,

“For every design; there is a Designer.”

No matter how you attempt to manipulate the facts, it is apparent that this is intelligent design; Not blind chance.
Where do you see gradual (favorable) changes in complexity? Fossils found in the cambrian layer were found to be a complete mixture of simple and complex organisms…

Do you think this is “dropping out of school”?

Okay I’m about to turn 16 and the school is letting me un enroll in the school so I can do home schooling My mother ” does not know why I want home schooling” . I have a low immune system and one cold last me sometimes 3-4 weeks. I have 9 text books I brought with my work money .
She now is telling her whole family I am a “high school drop out”. Which is not true I set my bars to very high standers. I wake up at 8AM and work all the way though to dinner time eat dinner in my room well studying and work till 7 pm Monday though Saturday. Also my mother got all D’s in high school and said “Oh if I took that grade so can you” . - I learn better by my self

- I don’t want to go to any proms , home commings ect

- I don’t like people
Everytime I get a cold I have to go to the hospital!! Which is like 9 times a year or more they don’t clean the class rooms “it up to the teachers do that” and if the teacher don’t get paid to do it they are not doing it. The bathrooms get cleaned once a month.
Sorry this is what I ment.

Okay I’m about to turn 16 and the school is letting me un enroll in the school so I can do home schooling.
My mother does not “know why I want home schooling” .

First, you don’t have to answer this, gosh.
And I’m really bad a biology, and we don’t have text books.

2 Patients with 3d degree burn over 97% survive!!?

books say when 3d degree burn more then 75% of body mortality rapidly approches 100% partially due to profound hypovolemic shock, partially due to sepsis, as the skin is a major organ of the immune system. Yet ever now and then hear of patient 3d degree burns over 98-99-100% and still survive, please see link below (http://www.yellowstone.net/newspaper/2000/news082300.htm.) Why is is not possible to simply treat this hypovolemia with multiple crystalloid and plasma lines + add a dressing on the patient soaked with adrenaline (epi) to produce vasoconstrction to slow fluid loss, and prevent the infection with hyperbaric oxygen (also this hyperbaric 02 will speed tissue regeneration.) I never recommend prophylactic antibiotic use but frequent swabs of the burned areas should be done and if bacteria is detected immediate treatment with antibitoic combinations (to prevent resistance) should be initiated.Skin grafts as necessary once the patient stabilizes. Artifical skin can also be used.

Is the Bird Flu a scare tactic?

OK.. here’s a link if you haven’t heard about it..

OK.. now as an health and wellness advocate, I see from other marketers in other businesses, whether it’s a special juice or supplements, using these articles to try to make a point. But as I marketer, I don’t want to scare people into buying products, because too many ppl will see it as a scam. But I’ve seen too many infomercials using this bird flu thing coming, for their products, books, articles, ezines, etc.
So my question is for people not in the health industry, what are your feelings about this?Do you feel it’s just a scare tactic to sell?Did this strategy work for you to join a biz or buy a product?Do you even believe this will happen this summer, whether you’re a health advocate or not?
I want to make sure this is cool for my downline to use.. is it too strong? Like, TRY MY PRODUCTS FOR YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM OR YOU WILL BE DEAD BY SEPTEMBER..LOL
